Andrea Dahlmann-Resing joined Vancouver Westside German School’s teaching staff in the summer of 2019. She holds a Masters of Arts from the Technische Universität Berlin in Sociology and German Language and Literature. Before moving to Vancouver in 2010, Andrea facilitated German classes in Shah Alam, Malaysia as well as at the German Language School (GLS) in Berlin, and continued as a facilitator of German at the University of British Columbia.

Outside of the classrooms of VWGS, Andrea works as a translator, interpreter, language coach, and researcher. In her free time, you may find Andrea volunteering at The Cinematheque, appraising Persian rugs, closely observing clouds, or biking the seawall with her daughter.
